Abstract
The Arp2/3 complex is essential for actin nucleation and filament elongation in a variety of intracellular processes. This functional versatility is exerted through the regulation of its activity by nucleation-promoting factors (NPFs). The discovery of a new NPF, WHAMM, reveals unexpected connections between the actin and microtubule cytoskeletons and membrane dynamics during ER-to-Golgi transport.Entities:
