Abstract
Presented is a case study of a seventy five year old man who experienced psychosis and depression related to the onset and termination of amiodarone therapy. The study looks at the pharmacology of amiodarone and the mechanisms that may have led to the emergence of these symptoms. It also raises the issue of making a careful assessment of a patient's life event history in that life events that may not be classically regarded as significant life events may be important in the precipitation of mental illness.Entities:
