The total number of deaths registered from 1999 through 2003 was 27,065. Information on cause of death was missing for 178 deaths, leaving a total of 26,887.
Communicable diseases include infectious and parasitic diseases, blood diseases and immune disorders, respiratory infections, perinatal conditions, nutritional deficiency, and maternal conditions.
