Abstract
Deep venous thrombosis (DVT) and varicosis are common diseases of veins. Blood flow analysis und morphologic parameters are the basis in the diagnosis of varicosis. Ultrasound is the preferred method in the diagnosis of varicosis. However, also today, phlebography is an important diagnostic tool. Venous anomalies are another topic covered in the second part of this review. Primary venous tumors are rare. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are the preferred methods to demonstrate the origin and extent of this disease.Entities:
