Abstract
The intricacies and time- sensitivity of conducting high- quality and clinically relevant health-related human subject research in post-disaster situations challenges traditional approaches to ensuring optimal protection that study participants are protected from exploitation and harm. This article briefly reviews the ethics and guidelines for conducting research in post-disaster periods and offers recommendations to improve human subjects research conducted in situations defined by the National Response Framework as 'disasters' and 'emergencies.'Entities:
