Abstract
The occurrence of the feather mite Megninia hologastra (Gaud, 1974) in five chicken flocks in Israel is reported. Severe scratching and a 10% drop in egg laying rate were observed. The mites were found on the contour feathers which is also the usual site of the common parasitic mite. M.ginglymura.Entities:
