Infection of an arteriovenous fistula with Rothia dentocariosa.

R A Nivar-Aristy1, L P Krajewski, J A Washington.

Abstract

Rothia dentocariosa is an unusual cause of infection in humans, despite the fact that the organism is frequently isolated from the oral cavity. The authors describe a case of R. dentocariosa infection following revision of an arteriovenous fistula in a 46-year-old diabetic man with renal failure.
