Abstract
The prostaglandin endoperoxide PGH2 antagonized basal and hormone-stimulated adenylate cyclase activity in an adipocyte ghost preparation. The inhibition was readily reversible, and demonstrable on initial rates of cAMP synthesis. It is suggested that PGH2 may be an endogenous feedback regulator of lipolysis in adipose tissue.Entities:
