Rotator cuff lesions. Acute and chronic.

S J Snyder1.

Abstract

The complex anatomy of the shoulder often impedes the orthopedic surgeon's evaluation and understanding of injuries to the shoulder joint, particularly the rotator cuff muscle-tendon complex. Arthroscopy, MRI, and digital data analysis are several techniques now at the surgeon's disposal. This article reviews the application of these techniques in the evaluation of rotator cuff injuries.
