Malignancy and leg ulceration in a community-based leg ulcer clinic in New Zealand.

J Waters1, A Latta, A Hartley, A Jull.

Abstract

The high prevalence of non-melanoma skin cancers in this patient population highlights the need for early, accurate diagnosis. This can be achieved by biopsying atypical ulcers early and all chronic ulcers within three months of starting treatment.
