Abstract
Symptoms of anxiety can occur in several mental and somatic diseases. Therefore, a sound diagnostic classification of symptoms is necessary. A 47-year-old woman was admitted to a psychiatric ward because of anxiety symptoms and anorexia. The symptoms were attributed to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease with pulmonary cachexia. This case indicates that one should consider the possibility of pulmonary disease in patients with anxiety symptoms. The case also points out the necessity of interdisciplinary collaboration.Entities:
