Clinical characteristics of the patients with legal pulmonary disability
BMI, body mass index; PFT, pulmonary function test; FVC, forced vital capacity; FEV1, forced expiratory volume for 1 second; DLco, diffusing capacity of carbon monoxide; ABGA, arterial blood gas analysis; SaO2, oxygen saturation; PaO2, partial pressure of oxygen in arterial blood
Figure 1Underlying pulmonary diseases of the patients with legal pulmonary disability. The most common cause of the pulmonary disability is COPD (38%). Chronic obstructive airway diseases such as COPD, TDL (25%), and BA (23%) are the main causes of pulmonary disability.
CEP, chronic eosinophilic pneumonia; Lung Ca, lung cancer; DILD, diffuse interstitial lung disease; BE, bronchiectasis; TDL, tuberculous destroyed lung; BA, bronchial asthma; COPD, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Diagnostic tools for determining legal pulmonary disability
PFT, pulmonary function test; ABGA, arterial blood gas analysis
FEV1 change after the diagnosis of legal pulmonary disability
FEV1, forced expiratory volume for 1 second; COPD, chronic obstructive lung disease; BA, bronchial asthma; TDL, tuberculous destroyed lung; BE, bronchiectasis; IPF, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis
Mortality of the patients with legal pulmonary disability
TDL, tuberculous destroyed lung; BA, bronchial asthma; COPD, chronic obstructive lung disease; IPF, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis
