Ovarian type surface epithelial carcinoma of the testis with delayed metastatic spread.

M Maruschke1, W Schmidt, J Casper, O W Hakenberg.

Abstract

Ovarian type surface epithelial carcinomas of the testis and paratestis are rare. The most frequent form is the serous subtype while only a few cases of the mucinous subtype have been reported in the literature. A 67-year-old patient with a mucinous ovarian type surface carcinoma of the testis is presented. The histopathological and immunohistochemical details of this rare lesion are discussed. (c) 2008 S.
