Abstract
Every diagnostic or therapeutic medical intervention requires a legal basis. This is in most cases informed consent. The ability to give informed consent depends on correct judgement which can be influenced by many mental disorders, therefore doctors have to check the mental state of a patient before they accept his or her consent.Entities:
