Abstract
A 10-year-old black boy had congenital malalignment of the great toenails (CMGTN). It is important to recognize this condition since several nail disorders can occur concurrently with and/or clinically mimic it. Treatment is dependent on the severity of the condition, and includes conservative management and subsequent examination to detect CMGTN-associated complications for patients with mild lateral deviation of the nail plate, or surgical realignment for individuals with either marked nail plate deviation or condition-related disabling sequelae.Entities:
