Abstract
The effects of fluconazole on the candidacidal activity of human neutrophils were investigated. Three clinical isolates of Candida albicans were studied in a colony count assay and the presence of fluconazole during incubation of yeasts with neutrophils had no effect on neutrophil candidacidal activity. These results, using a different assay and three additional isolates, confirm previous studies showing that fluconazole does not interfere with the ability of neutrophils to kill C. albicans.Entities:
