Cutis laxa and pulmonary emphysema.

Abstract

Cutis laxa is a disorder of skin due to a defective elastin synthesis. Association with pulmonary emphysema has been described earlier and has always been reported to occur in childhood. A case of a 38-year-old female patient suffering from cutis laxa is reported who developed symptomatic pulmonary emphysema in adulthood.
