Abstract
Psoas abscess is rarely encountered in obstetric practice. This condition may be primary or secondary resulting from extension of an infectious process near the psoas muscle. We report a series of three patients with psoas abscess that were encountered in our obstetric practice. Two of these patients had a primary and one a secondary abscess. Two patients underwent laparotomy and drainage of abscess while one received medical treatment. All patients recovered uneventfully.Entities:
