[On the constitutionality of tobacco regulation in Mexico].

As tobacco control legislation gains ground, public debate on the matter has come to be cast in constitutional terms. The present essay aims to provide information so as to participate in the debate in an informed manner. First, it explores the constitutional grounding for tobacco control. Then it analizes, one by one, the key arguments put forth to challenge the constitutionality ot tobacco control legislation, reaching the conclusion that none of the challenges holds water.
