Abstract
The reproductive function of 223 women exposed to benzene and toluene was studied against 327 controls. The results showed: the incidence rate of menstrual disorder in the exposed group was 48.88%, significantly higher than that in the control group (16.21%), the incidence rates of menstrual-blood anomaly and dysmenorrhea had a tendency to increase with the length of employment. The incidence rates of spontaneous abortion and gestosis in the exposed group were 5.7% and 22.6%, distinctly higher than those in the control group (2.4% and 10.5%); The difference of the above mentioned indices were statistically significant between the two groups, indicating that both benzene and toluene had a deletions effect on the reproductive function of the female workers.Entities:
