Abstract
Ex vivo hematopoiesis from embryonic sources offers exciting promises in basic research and medicine. In this issue of Cell Stem Cell, Ledran et al. (2008) describe human embryonic stem cell (hESC)-derived hematopoiesis, while Taoudi et al.
