Abstract
Sodium hydrosulfide and dimethylsulfide duplicate the effects of hydrogen sulfide in causing coma in Sprague-Dawley rats and are additive for lethality. Nitrite, pyruvate and dithiothreitol had no significant effect on coma or lethality but bicarbonate with and without glucose reduced duration of coma. This finding suggests an antidotal treatment.Entities:
