Abstract
Japanese encephalitis (JE) virus is a mosquito-borne flavivirus, and one of the leading causes of epidemic encephalitis in Southeast Asia. Reports of symptomatic JEV encephalitis in tourists have been rare. We describe a case of symptomatic JE transmitted in 2004 during a short two-week trip to common tourist attractions in Thailand.Entities:
