Abstract
Spontaneous Clostridium septicum myonecrosis, or gas gangrene, is an extremely rare soft tissue infection associated with malignancy and immunosuppression. Even with appropriate treatment the mortality rate approaches 100%. We present the case of a patient who presented with fulminant Clostridium septicum sepsis and myonecrosis who was successfully treated and made a full recovery within two weeks of the initial episode.Entities:
