Abstract
Within the past 5 years, venous imaging has rapidly evolved. Ultrasound, predominantly utilizing compression, is now the technique of choice for assessment of extremity venous thrombosis. Issues regarding pulmonary embolism, calf clots, ancillary findings, chronic clots, and the high-risk patient are discussed as they relate to lower extremity deep vein thrombosis. A brief review of upper extremity venous imaging is also included.Entities:
