Ensuring the effective reprocessing of flexible endoscopes.

.

Abstract

The correct reprocessing of flexible endoscopes is essential to prevent pathogens from being transmitted from patient to patient, as well as to ensure that patients are not exposed to chemical residue from the endoscope decontamination process. In this article, we describe key considerations for preparing a flexible endoscope to be safely reused.
