Postoperative episodic oxygen desaturation in the sleep apnoea syndrome.

Abstract

We describe a patient with sleep apnoea syndrome who showed severe episodic hypoxaemia in the late postoperative period. The sleep apnoea syndrome should be studied further to evaluate its significance as a surgical risk factor.
