Enantioselective syntheses of (-)- and (+)-monomorine I.

Abstract

A concise enantioselective total synthesis of unnatural (-)-monomorine I has been achieved starting from lactam 2 in 54% overall yield. Natural (+)-monomorine I was also synthesized.
