Abstract
Arteriovenous malformations (AVM) are rare in the oral and maxillofacial regions. We report a case of a mandibular gingival AVM in a pregnant woman, who presented at 35 weeks' gestation with massive pulsatile bleeding from a mass in the mandibular gingival margin, which could be managed by local compression and cauterisation. After delivery, the mass gradually regressed. She developed a similar swelling during a second pregnancy. It was thought that increased cardiac output as a result of her pregnancy caused her AVM to progress.Entities:
