Abstract
Corticosteroids remain a key component in the management of many disorders. Bone loss resulting from long-term administration of these drugs is common and osteoporosis induced by corticosteroids is the most frequent cause of secondary osteoporosis in nearly 50% of individuals on chronic corticosteroid therapy suffering from an osteoporotic fracture at some point. This article reviews the epidemiology and pathogenesis of glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis.Entities:
