Abstract

In the present paper we communicate the southernmost record and the first for the neotropical region of the fungus Leptolegnia chapmanii (Oomycetes: Saprolegniales) as a mosquito larvae pathogen, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The fungal description is extended as the host range and geographic distribution.
