Abstract

Throughout history, plant products and their modified analogs have been rich sources of clinically useful drugs, including anticancer agents. This review covers those agents that are currently in clinical use or in clinical trials as cancer chemotherapeutic drugs, including vinblastine, vincristine, Navelbine, etoposide, Teniposide, Taxol and, most recently, Taxotere, topotecan, and irinotecan.
