Abstract
Adolescent women possess physiologic and, frequently, behavioral characteristics that place them at an increased risk for contracting sexually transmitted infections. Diagnosis and prompt treatment of sexually transmitted infections is of paramount importance for an adolescent's future fertility and prevention of transmission to future partners. Diagnosis and treatment is often hindered by lack of symptoms, concern for screening and treatment confidentiality, and lack of knowledge about community medical resources.Entities:
