Abstract
Primary biliary cirrhosis is a progressive cholestatic liver disease of presumed autoimmune etiology. Patterns of disease are changing with earlier recognition and better access to investigation and treatment. With the convergence of animal, genetic, and clinical studies over the coming years, it is hoped that a greater understanding in the pathophysiology of the disease will translate into improved clinical endpoints for patients.Entities:
