Abstract
Hairy polyp of the pharynx is an uncommon developmental malformation that is most frequently seen as a penduculated tumour in the neonate. The clinical presentation is characterized by the presence of a polypoid mass protruding through the mouth as 'a second tongue' causing respiratory distress.
