Abstract
A polymerized film of 3,5-dihydroxy benzoic acid (DBA) was prepared on the surface of a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) in neutral solution by cyclic voltammetry (CV). The poly(DBA) film-coated GCE exhibited excellent electrocatalytic activity toward the oxidation of dopamine (DA). A linear range of 1.0 x 10(-7) to 1.0 x 10(-4)M and a detection limit of 6.0 x 10(-8)M were observed in pH 7.4 phosphate buffer solutions. Moreover, the interference of ascorbic acid (AA) was effectively eliminated. This work provides a simple and easy approach to selective detection of DA in the presence of AA.Entities:
