[Distraction method of maxillary refrognatism treatment in patients with congenital cleft of upper lip and palate].

The analysis of the existing ways of treatment of patients with retro position of the maxilla is carried out. Combined (surgical and orthodontic) distraction method treatment of maxillary retrognatism was conducted in 23 patients with congenital cleft of the upper lip and the palate in the age group of 8-17 years. The results of this treatment showed that this proposed method is effective.
