Abstract
Nasal glial heterotopia (nasal glioma) is a rare congenital malformation of neural origin. We present a newborn baby with life-threatening respiratory distress secondary to nasopharyngeal glial heterotopia that obstructed the nasopharyngeal or nasal airway. A high degree of suspicion, early diagnosis and surgical management are essential to cure this rare and potentially life-threatening disorder.Entities:
