Abstract
Mycophenolic acid (MPA) is used clinically to prevent graft rejection but may increase the risk of fungal infection. We observed that MPA enhanced the Aspergillus fumigatus-induced oxidative burst of polymorphonuclear neutrophils, but without a corresponding increase in fungal killing. Furthermore, MPA inhibited the proinflammatory cytokine response and maturation of dendritic cells.Entities:
