Abstract
A 77-year-old man was admitted to our hospital due to macrohematuria and bladder tamponade. Bladder hemorrhage caused by radiation therapy had not improved after bladder lavage, intravesical drip infusion, medication of hemostatics, and transurethral coagulation. Bladder hemorrhage had completely disappeared 7 days after the intravesical instillation of 50-100 ml aluminium hydroxide gel and magnesium hydroxide for an hour per day. This method is easy and can be performed without complications. This method might be useful as first-line therapy in the case of severe bladder hemorrhage.Entities:
