The diabetic foot in the developing world.

Abstract

This short article provides a brief overview of the epidemiology of diabetes and the diabetic foot in developing countries, reviews evidence that diabetic foot care is potentially one of the most cost-effective interventions for people with diabetes in developing countries, and outlines some of the challenges to improving access to foot care and diabetes care in general.
