Abstract
External ventricular drainage (EVD) is used in children who have hydrocephalus, usually for shunt infection. Several complications, including increased intracranial pressure, hemorrhage, brain injury and infection, can occur in children with EVD. Nursing care for these children involves interventions to prevent complications and promote the well-being of children and their families.Entities:
