[Light-dependent phosphorylation in mitochondria].

Abstract

The light-dependent ATP synthesis in the suspension of rat liver mitochondria was studied. The respiratory chain inhibitors were shown to prevent this process. Analogical effect was found also for 2,4-dinitrophenol, but the intensive blue light reversed it. The new mechanism of coupling by a transfer the vibrational quanta to ATPase and a detachment of ATP was proposed.
