Abstract
Schwannomas are tumors arising from the nerve sheath. Renal schwannomas are extremely rare and have nonspecific symptoms and limited radiologic features, and are often diagnosed histologically after surgical excision. We report a case of a left renal schwannoma which, after evaluation by imaging studies, was assumed to be a renal cell carcinoma arising from the left kidney. A brief discussion and literature review of the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis is presented.Entities:
