Abstract
5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) has effectively inhibited fibroblast proliferation to prevent scar formation and bleb failure after glaucoma filtering surgery. To identify more potent but less toxic antiproliferative drugs, the authors studied cell attachment and proliferation of 5-FU metabolites: 5-fluorouridine (FUR), 5-fluorodeoxyuridine (FUdR), 5-fluorouridine-5'-monophosphate (FUMP), and 5-fluorodeoxyuridine-5'-monophosphate (FdUMP) on human Tenon's fibroblasts in vitro.Entities:
