Abstract
PZ-peptidase (EC 3.4.--) was detected in human uterine cervix distributed in the soluble fraction after 100 000 x g centrifugation. Optimum pH for PZ-peptidase was observed to be pH 7.2--7.4, except for two of the preparations examined. PZ-peptidase activity was found to significantly increase in pregnancy at term as compared with that in a control group.Entities:
