Abstract
Endoscopy plays a critical role in the diagnosis and management of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). This article reviews the utility of endoscopy in the diagnosis of ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn's disease (CD), recommendations for cancer surveillance, and the use of newer techniques for the enhanced detection of dysplasia in chronic UC. Finally, the use of endoscopy for the management of certain complications of IBD is also discussed.Entities:
