Abstract
Up to 90 percent of American hospitals have some type of laboratory outreach program, performing a test here or there for affiliated doctors in a nearby clinic. But a few hospitals have found that a more aggressive outreach program, with a relatively modest investment, can turn a cost center into a reliable profit center.Mesh:
