Facile epoxidation of alpha,beta-unsaturated ketones with cyclohexylidenebishydroperoxide.

Abstract

Cyclohexylidenebishydroperoxide was successfully used as the oxygen source for the oxidation of alpha,beta-Unsaturated ketones for the first time. The corresponding epoxides were obtained in excellent yields under the Weitz-Scheffer reaction conditions.
