Final five: ASCs told to target patient safety.

Abstract

Efforts to improve outpatient safety got a big boost in November when the National Quality Forum endorsed a list of five quality measures for ambulatory surgery centers. CMS is expected to require ASCs to report on the measures starting in 2009.
